Maryland middle schoolers compete in Paint the Plow challenge [Video]

MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Md. — Calling all Montgomery County middle schools, it’s time to flex your creative skills as applications open for the 3rd Annual Paint the Plow contest.

Middle schools across the county have the chance to compete for a chance to win a cash prize. Schools have until 5 p.m. on Friday, April 12 to register online for the competition.

Participation and paint supplies are free and provided by MCDOT. This year’s theme of the contest is Road Safety.

Winning middle schools will be eligible for a $500 first prize, a $300 second prize and a $200 third prize. The most popular snowplows will be deployed across the region during snowstorms in the winter months.
