MGM Springfield, YMCA team up to fix up North End Outreach Teen Center [Video]

SPRINGFIELD, MA (WGGB/WSHM) – Efforts are underway in Springfield to create a safe space for young people as the city is experiencing an uptick in juvenile crime. On Thursday, volunteers from MGM Springfield spent the morning at the YMCA of Greater Springfield’s teen center where a makeover is underway.

Over a dozen MGM volunteers joined forces with The Y to clean, paint, and fix-up the North End Outreach Teen Center to help create an inviting place for young people in the community to enjoy activities and after-school programs, keeping them out of danger on the streets.

“The work that they do and the programing that they provide for young teens in Springfield is inspiring.
