President Joe Biden took shots at Donald Trump’s numerous legal issues, including his civil sexual abuse case and his hush money conviction, during their first 2024 presidential debate Thursday evening.

During their debate on CNN in Atlanta, the presumptive Republican and Democratic presidential nominees, clashed over felony convictions — Trump’s New York criminal conviction for falsifying business records and Biden’s son Hunter’s criminal gun conviction. After Trump criticized Biden for his son’s conviction and said he was involved in criminal business dealings with Hunter, Biden took aim at Trump’s legal problems — including being found liable for sexually abusing writer E.
