Those living near Cuddy Park are finding a new place to set up shop as the city put up abatement notices more than two weeks ago.

The Anchorage Assembly unanimously passed all resolutions and ordinances during a special meeting Tuesday, adding additional funding for fall activation of Anchorage’s emergency homeless shelters.

Rep. Eastman will have a primary challenger who says she’ll represent her constituents, not engage in endless fights.

City officials began abating Cuddy Park on Tuesday, 20 days after abatement notices were posted telling people they would have to leave. But many people who’ve been living there expressed concern they didn’t have a place to go.
