Motorcyclist ejected over top of car, seriously injured after speeding through red light [Video]

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) – A motorcyclist who ran a red light was taken to a hospital with critical injuries Saturday night, the Kansas City Police Department reported.

Around 10:30 p.m. on Aug. 17, a black Ford Fusion was sitting at a red light on the northbound exit ramp of US 169 Highway. KCPD said when the light turned green, the driver started to move forward but was hit by a Harley-Davidson that had sped through the red light on eastbound Barry Road.

The motorcyclist, who was not wearing a helmet, hit the left side of the Ford and was ejected over the top of it. He sustained critical injuries.

The driver and passenger in the Ford were not injured.
