Multiple motorcycles involved in deadly crash north of downtown Colorado Springs [Video]

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KKTV) -A person is dead following a crash involving multiple motorcycles north of downtown Colorado Springs.

Around 8 p.m. Tuesday, the Colorado Springs Police Department responded to North Nevada and Jackson, just outside Penrose Hospital, for a multi-vehicle crash. Police say the crash involved three motorcycles and one vehicle, but it’s not known yet how the crash happened.

“Not sure how many motorcycles hit the vehicle or if one of the motorcycles hit and they all collided, that’s still early, but all three motorcycles went down,” said CSPD Lt. Pam Farmer.

One motorcycle driver died on scene, but has not been publicly identified Wednesday morning. Police say the second motorcycle driver was taken to the hospital, and the third ran from the scene, but later went to the hospital.
