National Parkinson’s Institute prepares to host largest fundraiser of the year, the Red Tulip Gala | News from WDRB [Video]

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — It’s that time of the year again. The National Parkinson’s Institute is getting ready to host its annual Red Tulip Gala.

Saturday night, more than 300 people will be at the Muhammad Ali Center for the institute’s largest fundraiser of the year.

NPI President and CEO Eric Richardson said the event will raise crucial funds. The attendees help the nonprofit keep exercise classes, support groups and educational seminars cost-free year-round.

The ticketed event includes full access to the museum, a three-course meal, and the opportunity to speak with some of the individuals and families facing Parkinson’s disease.

“We are very excited to finally be here at the Ali Center. Of course, you know, Ali was a big champion of Parkinson’s, so it had been a goal of ours to make sure we brought a gala down here to the Ali Center,” Richardson said.
