New Orleans judge requests more records in child death case [Video]

A New Orleans father who voiced criticism against the Department of Child and Family Services and has been accused of killing his infant child was in court Thursday, where a judge has ordered more documents in the case. Christopher Strickland was arrested last year in connection with the death of his infant daughter Louisa. He is facing charges of second-degree murder and second-degree child cruelty to juveniles. The assistant district attorney prosecuting the case said medical records show Strickland’s daughter died from being shaken. Strickland’s lawyer, Sarah Chervinsky, said the medical records surrounding Louisa’s death are incomplete and not detailed enough.The judge in the case, Simone Levine, gave the assistant district attorney until June 27to file the proper documentation needed to move forward with the case.
