NEW ORLEANS — New Orleans Police Department is investigating a fatal traffic accident that left one man dead.
Police say a 40-year-old male pedestrian was hit by an automobile near the intersection of Canal Street and Claiborne Avenue around 9 p.m.
The victim was declared dead at the scene. According to police the driver of the vehicle stayed at the scene and is helping them with the investigation.
