Women and girls have been left fearing for their safety after they were followed by a masked man dressed in gimp gear in a pretty market town.

Terrified victims say the individual always wears the same clothes, which consist of a dark top, green combat trousers, green wellington boots and a hood and mask that cover his face.

The man has been seen several times in recent months wandering through Bungay in Suffolk, which sits near a stretch of the River Waveney on the edge of the Broads.

But several people have taken to social media to report he has been walking close behind them, making them concerned about an attack.

One woman in her 20s described how she was walking along a main road on March 26 when she saw the man approaching her from the opposite direction.
