The Cedar River in Waverly crested earlier this afternoon just below the 12-foot flood stage.
On June 23rd, 2024, Ottumwa Police responded to the 200 block of W. 5th for a report of a structure fire. The report stated that people were still inside the residence at the time of the fire.
On Monday night, the Cedar Rapids School Board voted to sell two recently closed Cedar Rapids Elementary schools, but one of them wasn’t to the highest bidder.
