Nurse helps pilot who crashed plane into her pickup truck after takeoff: Accidents happen [Video]

PLEASANT GROVE, Calif. (KCRA) – A California woman is sharing her story after a plane crashed into her pickup truck on Tuesday.

“I can’t believe I got hit by an airplane and survived,” Dee Arata explained.

The 41-year-old who was behind the wheel said it’s “so unbelievable.”

“When I say, ‘I got hit by an airplane,’ I’m like, ‘Wow, I got hit by an airplane,’” Arata said.

Both Arata and the airplane pilot walked away with barely a scratch.

“I’d seen it before it hit, like seconds, if that,” Arata remembered. “It may have been one second because I’d seen something out of my peripheral and it looked big and white, and so I turned my head and it was right there. And I knew it was a plane, and I said out loud, ‘Oh God, I’m going to get hit.’”
