NY weather update: Severe thunderstorm warning forecast to expire at 6:45 p.m. [Video]

The warning was for Orange, Rockland and Westchester counties.

“The storm which prompted the warning has weakened below severe limits, and no longer poses an immediate threat to life or property. Therefore, the warning will be allowed to expire. A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 10 p.m. for southeastern New York,” according to the National Weather Service.
