STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — The New York City civil service exam schedule is open for July, and some jobs pay more than others.
The application period for exams opened July 10.
Exam applications currently open include: call center representative; dental assistant (NYC H+H); environmental police officer; firefighter; marine engineer; police communications technician; police officer; and school safety agent.
Open, competitive, computer-based tests are administered throughout each month for various positions. If you meet the basic requirements of the job, you can apply for your exam online at Online Application System (OASys) or at one of the Computer-Based Testing and Application Centers (CTAC).
The deadline for most exams is July 30.
The application for call center representative will stay open until Aug. 27, while the application for police officer will be open through Sept. 25.
Additionally, the exam for environmental police officer remains open through Aug. 30 and the exam for firefighter remains open through Aug. 9.
