Officials reveal cause of death for man killed in suspected hit with Banshee [Video]

CINCINNATI (ENQUIRER) – The Hamilton County Coroner’s Office has released the cause of death for a man killed in a suspected collision with the Banshee roller coaster at Kings Island, according to our media partners at the Cincinnati Enquirer.

A preliminary autopsy report shows 38-year-old Arntanaro Nelson died as a result of blunt force trauma to the head and a traumatic brain injury. He also suffered blunt force trauma to the body, which the report listed as a contributing factor to his death.

Nelson died of his injuries at the University of Cincinnati Medical Center on June 21. The coroner’s office previously listed his death as a “suspected accident.”

Kings Island officials have said Nelson was possibly hit by the ride while visiting the park on June 19. Nelson was in the restricted area to retrieve keys he had dropped while previously riding the Banshee, Mason police said.
