FRANKLIN, Ohio — The Swanton post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol is investigating a crash that occurred on the Ohio Turnpike in Fulton County early on Saturday morning.
According to OSHP, a truck hit a van on Interstate 80 near mile post 26 at around 2 a.m. on Saturday, June 22.
Authorities say a 2006 Dodge Sprinter was driving westbound in the right lane when is was struck from behind by a 2024 Volvo commercial vehicle that was also traveling westbound.
Officers say the Dodge van traveled off the side of the road following the collision, where it overturned, struck a ditch and a fence before coming to a halt in a field.
The female driver of the van along with two passengers were transported to local hospitals with serious but non-life threatening injuries, according to OSHP.
