Olmsted Township man charged with murder for death of son [Video]

OLMSTED TOWNSHIP, Ohio (WJW) – Charges have been filed after police said a man in Olmsted Township fatally shot his adult son.

According to police, the father, 63, said his son was attacking him with a baseball bat and he shot his son in the chest.

In an updated press release, police said, Donald Varga has now been charged with domestic violence and murder for the death of his 29-year-old son, Corey Varga.

The incident took place shortly after 9 p.m. on Wednesday, June 26, at a home on Homestead Drive.

Police said when they arrived at the scene, they met with the father outside of the home and took him into custody without incident.
