One dead after being hit by vehicle: Pike County Sheriff’s Office [Video]

PIKE COUNTY, Ga. — One person is dead after being hit by a vehicle in Pike County on Saturday morning, the sheriff’s office said. 

According to the Pike County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded to a person hit by a vehicle on Highway 18 in Concord shortly after 9:30 a.m. 

The sheriff’s office said that Henry Shelnutt, 93, of Locust Grove, was found dead at the scene of the accident. 

It is currently unknown how this incident occurred and if the vehicle stayed at the scene. This is an active investigation, and 11Alive will update this story once we know more.
