One dead as result of Ruidoso area wildfires [Video]

Also being reported by officials is that at least one person has died due as a result of the wildfires.

The governor has deployed the National Guard to the area in response to the South Fork and Salt Fires that has damaged more than 500 structures. The fires have consumed nearly 20,000 acres and is currently 0% contained.

The release says the magnitude of the fires is beyond local control and needs immediate state intervention. The fire’s cause still remains under investigation.
