A 4-year-old Birmingham girl who died this week after she was critically injured in a 2022 shooting that killed her father is being remember as strong and courageous.

Madison Grace Davis died Tuesday at Children’s of Alabama.

Madison was critically injured Sept. 2, 2022, while in a white Infiniti G35 with her father, 22-year-old Demarkus Etwan Moss, and her infant brother.

The unknown shooter or shooters opened fire on the vehicle, killing Moss.

Authorities have never said whether Madison was shot or injured in the subsequent crash but he family said she sustained a traumatic brain injury in the shooting.

Madison never walked or talked again.

A GoFundMe has been started to give Madison, affectionately known as “Tweety Bird,” a “beautiful and peaceful farewell.”

“Despite her incredible strength and courageous battle, she has now left us,’’ according to organizer Tiffany Davis, “and our hearts are shattered.”
