Spilled load of asphalt, fuel leak from truck created slowdown for Wednesday morning commuters
LEXINGTON COUNTY, S.C. — An early morning traffic accident that caused a slowdown for motorists along I-26 East, near the Peak exit, has been cleared.
Around 4:45 a.m. Wednesday, a dump truck carrying asphalt overturned, spilling its load. There was also a fuel leak associated with this incident. No injuries have been reported, but traffic was still backed up as of 8:30 a.m. Just before 10 a.m., SCDOT reported all lanes were back open.
