PALISADE, Colo. (KKCO) – The Palisade Fire and Police Departments confirmed Friday afternoon that one person was killed after an explosion ripped through a six unit apartment building in downtown Palisade. The building was deemed a “complete and total loss,” according to officials.
The identity of the person killed in the explosion has not been released by first responders. The Mesa County Coroner’s Office is expected to release the identity of the person killed, as well as the person’s cause and manner of death.
Until then, the investigation remains ongoing.
