Parents outraged amid sexual abuse allegations at Farmington school [Video]

Video above: 29-year-old Jose Nunez has been charged with criminal sexual contact of a minor after two students allege he sexually assaulted them at Hermosa Middle School in Farmington, New Mexico “on or about” May 10, 2024. Nunez was hired on as a substitute teacher during the alleged incident. Farmington Municipal Schools sent families an e-mail on Wednesday, June 5th, in relation to the alleged incident— nearly a month afterward. Parents told KOAT the e-mail did not include the name of the school or much context of the alleged incident. KOAT obtained a copy of the e-mail from parents who chose to remain anonymous.
