Pauls Valley man recovers from triple transplant [Video]

PAULS VALLEY, Okla. (KFOR) — A Pauls Valley man has a new chance at life after he had a triple transplant almost two years ago and he said it’s all thanks to a special program that he’s even alive today.

Doyle Duke’s story dates back to getting some tough news at 14 years old.

“I found out I was diagnosed with Idiopathic Hypertrophic Subaortic Stenosis, which is a thickening of the heart muscle,” said Doyle, who’s a triple transplant survivor.

Years later, Doyle started getting sick, so he had surgery and got better, until things took a turn a couple years ago.

“I was in the hospital for weeks at a time, and then finally I went in in October and didn’t come back out,” said Doyle.

He said that’s when doctors noticed his Liver and Kidney also needing help.
