Authorities said the pedestrian died at the scene of the crash.
LEXINGTON COUNTY, S.C. — A pedestrian died late Saturday night after being struck by an SUV in Lexington County, the South Carolina Highway Patrol confirms.
Master Trooper Mitchell Ridgeway said the crash happened around 9:30 p.m. on Woodtrail Drive near Meadowfield Road to the west of Gaston. Ridgeway said the crash happened when a 2004 Dodge SUV was traveling north on Woodtrail Drive. The SUV struck a pedestrian, who died at the scene.
The Lexington County Coroner’s Office hasn’t released the name of the deceased pedestrian. The South Carolina Highway Patrol is still investigating the crash.
