Pedestrian hit, killed by vehicle on Northeast Sandy Boulevard [Video]

Police have not identified the person who died. The driver remained at the scene.

PORTLAND, Ore. — A person was hit and killed by a vehicle Monday evening in Northeast Portland. Police are asking anyone with information about the crash to contact them.

Just before 10 p.m. on Monday, officers responded to the crash near Northeast Sandy Boulevard. The person, who has not been identified, died at the scene, according to Portland police. The driver remained at the scene. Portland police did not immediately report whether the driver is facing any criminal charges.

During the investigation, Portland police closed Northeast Sandy Boulevard from Northeast 94th Avenue to Northeast 98th Avenue.
