GEORGE COUNTY, Miss. (WKRG) — A pedestrian was hit and killed on Highway 63 in George County early Wednesday morning, according to the Mississippi Highway Patrol.
MHP officials said troopers were called to the scene around 5:15 a.m.

Troopers found that a vehicle had been traveling north on the highway when they hit a pedestrian just south of Cooks Corner.
Officials said the driver did stop. MHP is continuing to investigate.
