BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — One person is dead after a traffic collision in southeast Bakersfield Saturday.
On April 27, one pedestrian was struck and killed in the Highway 58 eastbound lanes around 1:15 p.m., according to the California Highway Patrol. Officers were seen at the Highway 58 eastbound off-ramp at Union Avenue talking to drivers on the side of the road.

At least one person was found dead on scene. The identity of the victim has not been released.
No other injuries have been reported. An investigation into the cause of the accident is underway.
