GULFPORT, Miss. (WLOX) – A pedestrian was struck and killed on Highway 90 early Thursday morning, according to the Harrison County Coroner’s Office.
The crash happened near Jones Park sometime before 4:30 a.m. Video from the scene showed one vehicle with a damaged windshield.
Gulfport Police blocked the eastbound lanes of the highway from 25th Avenue to 20th Avenue for several hours, but the road is now clear.
The identity of the victim has not yet been released.
The crash is under investigation.
