Perry Street between 29 and 30 Avenue due to safety concerns [Video]

SPOKANE, Wash. – The City of Spokane announced that it is closing Perry Street between 29 Avenue and 30 Avenue due to safety concerns about drivers.

The City of Spokane, in an X post, stated, “We are closing Perry St. between 29 Avenue and 30 Avenue for the safety of our construction crew. We have had too many close calls with drivers not following our flagger’s instructions and nearly hitting our workers.

The city tells community members that drivers must slow down, follow detour signs and put phones away when driving.
