Plans announced for HSHS Foundation Fund [Video]

EAU CLAIRE, Wis. (WLAX/WEUX) – Those who donate to the hospital Sisters of St. Francis Foundation got a letter in the mail giving some insight into where those dollars will go. Foundation leaders sent out a letter this week, saying more than $16.5 million dollars will be contributed locally. They say $4.5 million will go to the Community Foundation of Chippewa County and the other half to the Eau Claire Foundation. $4.8 million is also expected to go towards a “grief services research project,” like the healing place.

The president and CEO of the Eau Claire Community Foundation, Wesley Escondo, says they are ready to step up and do the work to continue the work, “You know, I do have to give HSH some credit for their willingness to honor the original intent of donors.
