Police issue silver alert for missing East Texas elderly man [Video]

GROVETON, Texas — Police are looking for a missing Deep East Texas elderly man who hasn’t been seen in over a week.

The Texas Department of Public Safety has issued a silver alert for WJ Wallace, 72, from Groveton. He has been diagnosed with a cognitive impairment. 

He was last seen at 214 W. 1st St. in Groveton at midnight on March 25 on foot. He was last seen wearing a baseball cap, red long-sleeved shirt, brown jean pants, black socks and white shoes with a red outline, the alert said. He is 5’ 9,”190 pounds, gray hair and brown eyes. 

“Law enforcement officials believe this senior citizen’s disappearance poses a credible threat to their own health and safety,” the alert read.
