PORTSMOUTH, Va. (WAVY) – Portable chargers that were sold exclusively at Costco have been recalled following over 100 reports that the devices can overheat, including two reports of customers’ homes catching fire.
The myCharge-branded chargers were recalled by myCharge on Thursday. The company noted that the devices pose a “fire and burn hazard when charging.”
The recall impacts approximately 567,000 myCharge POWER HUB All-In-One 10,000mAh portable chargers with model numbers AO10FK-A, AO10FK-B AND AO10FK-C. The recalled chargers also have date codes ending in 21, 22 or 23, though only four of the codes ending in 23 are affected by the recall (0123, 0923, 1523 and 1723).
The chargers were sold exclusively at Costco and Costco.com from Jan. 2022 through Nov. 2023.
