Potential bad weather won’t stop most weekend festivals in 757 [Video]

Organizers of Bayou Bon Vivant ended its first of three nights on Friday. The Louisiana-inspired festival brings all the sites and smells of the Crescent City to the Chesapeake Bay with its food, culture and music. Organizer Jordan Lett says this festival is going on rain or shine.

“Safety is first in everything we do,” Lett said. “We watch the weather very closely. We’re good friends with [13News Now Meteorologist] Craig Moeller. We got him on speed dial. If we don’t think we can do something, we’ll update folks as fast as we can.”  

Lett, who works for the Festevents, the organizers of Bayou Bon Vivant, wasn’t the only one with that mentality.
