Redding dog attack kills pet and inures owner | News [Video]

Redding, Calif. – Dianne Presta is grieving the loss of her dog booboo after a vicious attack from another dog on Saturday.

At about 6pm Presta took Booboo for a walk at the Lowden Lane senior apartments in Redding. During that walk she came across another woman walking her dog. That dog broke free from its leash and attacked Booboo. In the midsts of the attack Presta jumped into the fight in an attempt to rescue her dog and in the process sustained several bites to her hands and neck. 

Neighbors in the apartment complex called 911. An ambulance took Presta to a local hospital where she was treated for her wounds and released. Booboo was rushed to the vet and died while being examined. Neighbors tell Action News Now that they were surprised that no law enforcement or animal control arrived to the scene.
