Reported trailer park fire breaks out in Spokane Valley [Video]

The occupant of the trailer was rushed to the hospital before being life-flighted to another hospital in Seattle.

SPOKANE VALLEY, Wash. — The Spokane Valley Fire Department responded to a trailer park fire that broke out near East Mansfield Avenue off North Pines Road Tuesday night.

According to the fire department, neighbors reported hearing explosions around 9 p.m. and saw a 5th wheel fully engulfed in flames. 

When firefighters arrived they found the occupant of the 5th wheel on the front lawn with burns to his face arms and torso. The person was immediately transported to the hospital before being life-flighted to a hospital in Seattle. 

Officials say 13 Spokane Valley Fire Department helped fight the fire including two Battalion Chiefs, six engines, two ladder trucks, one safety officer, and two investigators.

The fire remains under investigation.
