Rider traumatized after being stuck upside down on Oaks Park ride [Video]

PORTLAND Ore. (KPTV) – Portland’s Oaks Park is back open, a day after nearly 30 people were stuck upside down on one of its rides. A high schooler who ended up in the hospital said he’s traumatized.

“I thought it very well might be the end of my life,” said Hazen Hathorn, who had ridden Atmosfear before and never doubted its safety. Until Friday, when he said he rode the ride for the last time.

“And then it started going to the top, and it came, and I was like, ok here’s the part where it goes 360. And then it went 360,” he explained. After that, the ride stopped moving. “I was like oh, this is really weird, I’m sure it’s just a falter.”
