Riverton police investigate crash on Mountain View Corridor that killed juvenile [Video]

RIVERTON, Utah — Riverton police responded to a crash on Mountain View Corridor that happened at 12:17 a.m. Thursday morning.

Investigators so far will only confirm that a juvenile died at the scene of the crash at the intersection of Mountain View and 13400 South.

Two witnesses at the scene tell FOX 13 News the victim was a friend of theirs, but investigators have yet to release the victim’s gender or where the person attended high school.

Police say it appears one of the drivers ran a red light, but are still trying to determine if it was the juvenile or the other adult involved in the crash.

The adult was not injured, police say.

The road was closed for several hours during the investigation, but was being cleared and beginning to open back up around six a.m.
