RPD hosts seat belt challenge at Century High School | News [Video]

ROCHESTER, Minn. – At Century High School the School Resource Officers (SRO) hosted their seat belt challenge. It’s a timed competition where a group of four students sit in a car and switch seats and unbuckle and buckle. SRO Tim Condon says this challenge is a good way to remember good habits.

“Yeah I think it helps reinforce how quickly and easily you can buckle up in a car,” said Condon. “A lot of people have said in the past have said it’s to burdensome or it’s they don’t have time to do it and  this event shows you in 30 to 40 seconds four people can buckle and unbuckle themselves from every single seat of the car and it just reinforces how easy it is.”

Not wearing a seatbelt Condon says can be detrimental.
