Salado baseball team helps tornado victims after canceled game [Video]

TEMPLE, Texas — A Salado baseball team is making light out of a devastation. 

This comes after tornadoes hit Central Texas on Wednesday night.

“I was scared that people wouldn’t have anything left, we wouldn’t have anything left,” 10-year-old Gage Graham told 6 News. “There was a huge tree outside. I was scared it was gonna fall somewhere. My mind was overwhelmed.”

This was the reality for many. An entire community, left in shambles. Now neighbors are seeing some relief thanks to the Silverback Performance baseball team.

“I think it was just something telling us to go out and help,” coach Chris Encarnacion said.

Their came was canceled on Saturday because of the damage the tornadoes brought, so parents and young boys used their time to be there for those who needed it most.
