SIOUX CITY (KTIV) – Flood relief efforts continue in Riverside as the Salvation Army had the Emergency Disaster canteen on site on Saturday.

The Salvation Army served lunch at noon and dinner at five. The vehicle was stationed on Fairbanks Street, where some of the hardest-hit homes are located in the area.

Besides serving meals to residents, the Salvation Army also provided snacks, hydration and hygiene kits for anyone who needed them.

“People here just trying to dig their lives out. So flood kits, brooms, mops, anything to help them clean up the dirt in the muck and help savage their belongings,” said Tiffany Lines, Youth Director and Community Center Coordinator.

The canteen will be in the same spot on Sunday from 10:30 a.m. until 7 p.m.
