Search intensifies for missing Giles County woman [Video]

PULASKI, Tenn. (WSMV) – Multiple agencies continue to search for a woman who went missing in Giles County this week.

The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation issued a Silver Alert for 82-year-old Caulyne Cross on Tuesday after the Giles County Sheriff’s Office reported her missing and needing assistance.

Cross reportedly has a medical condition that could make it difficult for her to find her own way home safely, according to the GCSO.

Giles County Emergency Services suspended the search for Cross late Wednesday night but picked back up on Thursday morning. Ground search efforts have canvassed more than 1,000 acres, and large sections of the county have been covered by several types of aircraft, according to Giles County EMS.

Volunteers wanting to help in the search are urged to bring ATVs, UTVs, or horses to assist in the search. The staging area for Thursday’s search is the large open field at 797 Powell Chapel Road.
