Security film going on Wilson County Schools windows after approval of vendor [Video]

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) – Wilson County Schools are officially getting security film put on their windows, following a decision at the Board of Education’s most recent meeting.

The school board approved and agreed on a company, Osteen Construction, for their bid of $900,105.36 for the security film.

The films are designed to be shatter-resistant — if a natural disaster were to occur or an intruder attempted to get in, the glass is designed to stay in place.

Earlier in the year, the board rejected a security film bid due to a contractor license issue.
