AUGUSTA, Ga. (WJBF) – Today, Dr. Brooks Keel worked his last day as president of Augusta University.
Chief Photojournalist Gary Hipps captured the moment employees gave him a final sendoff to the next stage of his life in retirement. They surprised him and held a mini parade as he left his office on his last day. The event was held to honor his service to the university and the community.
Dr. Russell Keen will take over as president of AU on Monday, July 1.
