Seward Highway closed due to collision at mile 75 [Video]

GIRDWOOD, Alaska (KTUU) – Travel on the Seward Highway is halted due to a collision, officials announced Sunday afternoon.

The closure affects traffic around Mile 75 between the Granite Creek Campground and Canyon Creek Rest Area, near the Kenai Peninsula sign.

“The Seward Highway at Mile 75 will be closed for several hours due to a vehicle accident. Use caution and be prepared for emergency vehicles on highway. Updates to follow,” an alert from Alaska 511 said.
