‘Shooting incident’ reported in small northern Arizona town [Video]

CAMERON, AZ (AZFamily) — Police are asking for the public’s help in locating a person of interest in a “shooting incident” that happened in a small northern Arizona town on Monday morning. Derick Myron, 44, is to be considered armed and dangerous.

Shortly after 9 a.m., the Navajo Police Department asked that residents near the Cameron Chapter House and LDS Church in Cameron to shelter in place due to a “police emergency.” It’s unclear if anyone was hurt, but the shelter-in-place was lifted around 10:30 a.m.

Now, area law enforcement agencies are searching for Myron, who’s described as 5′10″ with black hair, brown hair and a slender build. He’s possibly driving a black 2017 Ford dually crew cab pickup truck equipped with a work rack and a New Mexico license plate of RFW880.
