Sister of El Dorado road rage victim speaks out after sentencing [Video]

WICHITA, Kan. (KSNW) — Days after a man was sentenced for a road rage death, the sister of the victim is turning his attention back on her brother.

Alton Kent Algrim, also known as Kent to family and friends, was 74 years old. He owned Wichita RV and loved to travel and help others back on their feet.

His sister Melinda Allen said the lack of remorse in the courtroom from 24-year-old Ashton McCoy, convicted of her brother’s death, was devastating to see.

“Ashton McCoy killed my brother. I’ve got nobody that’s in my family that knew me as a child anymore,” said Allen.

The road rage incident happened early last October in El Dorado. Court documents state that McCoy admitted to punching Algrim in the head with his fist three times. Algrim died just days later due to “traumatic brain injuries.”

Allen said the family is still reeling from the loss.
