South Broken Arrow Library celebrates 30th anniversary | News [Video]

BROKEN ARROW, Okla. — South Broken Arrow Library celebrated three decades of being open at their anniversary party on Monday.

Activities for kids and refreshments were available at the come-and-go event sponsored by the Tulsa Library Trust.

FOX23 spoke with the branch manager of the South Broken Arrow Library, Kelli McDowell.

“We’re celebrating three decades of literary magic at South Broken Arrow Library. We’ve been a community center since 1994 and we just wanted to have some fun activities for families to come and celebrate with us,” McDowell said.

McDowell said the library has gone through some remodeling over the years and said there are plans to open a new one.

“Over the years its had a few remodels, but it has been one of the busiest locations since the day it opened. We are looking to build a new library. It’ll be more than twice the size of this …
