South Dakota Highway Patrol names Trooper and Inspector of the Year [Video]

FORT PIERRE, S.D. (Dakota News Now) – A Watertown Trooper has been named the South Dakota Highway Patrol’s Trooper of the Year.

Trooper Jordan Melius has been with the Highway Patrol since 2016 and is stationed in Watertown. She is a field training officer, a drug recognition expert, a recruiting team member, an assistant squad leader, and a member of the peer support team.

Inspector Mehsin Wehbe was named the Inspector of the Year by the South Dakota Highway Patrol as well. Wehbe has been with the Motor Carrier Services division of the South Dakota Highway Patrol since 2019.
