Spencer plans to have full water usage by the end of Wednesday, June 26 [Video]

SPENCER, Iowa (KTIV) – The City of Spencer, Iowa says they plan to have full water usage returned for residents by midnight. In a press release from the city, they say that toilet and shower use is now available.

FEMA is working in the city to register people for disaster relief. They note all FEMA workers will have a badge identifying them. If they do not have a FEMA badge, they are not with FEMA. They warn to avoid scams from flooding.

The press release notes that they are condensing all shelters to a single location at the Spencer Events Center at 800 W 18th St. Transportation to the shelter is provided by ILCC.

The Spencer Fire Department is in the process of surveying the affected homes, those homes will be marked if the department deems them as unsafe to enter.
